Good Times Yoga with Nona Fender & the BEnders

(Hobohemian Stage: Saturday 9:30-10:40am, Saturday 12:45-1:50pm, Sunday 9:45-11am)

Unlike any class experience you’ve ever had, G.T.Y. will make you move, laugh and breathe heavily in an oh-so-unique way with fine friends in freaky threads and waves of sound. Hesher-hyphie-hottie-woohoo attire strongly encouraged!

Nona Fender (the alter ego of Lucid Dawn) leads a safe yet uproarious yoga class for ALL LEVELS of experience. Featuring professional, veteran musicians EEnor & Darren T, these rockin’ groovers comprise the BEnders. With a knack for feeling the crowd and musically interpreting the whims of Nona Fender, they’ll have you feeling free and GOOD with grinding, grooving, uplifting, hard hitting Woohoo Music! Nona is a new and unorthodox path to Party Time! We CAN BE WILD & take great care of ourselves and others! Come dance the dance of the sacred profane!

Nia with Karri Winn

(Hobohemian Stage: Saturday 11:45am-12:40pm; Sunday 11:00-11:50am)

Nia is a dance movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts: Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, jazz dance, modern dance, Duncan dance, yoga, Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais teachings. Every class offers a unique combination of moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. Stiff beginners and highly fit athletes alike can adapt Nia to meet their needs by choosing from three intensity levels.

Karri is a certified Black Belt Nia Technique instructor and has been an active Nia teacher since 2001. She has studied somatics and body-mind-spirit movement for personal mastery and physical conditioning since 1994. Her studies include anatomy, eastern healing philosophies, energy, nutrition, structural integration, yoga, aikido, and martial arts philosophy.

 

Hoop Candy: An All Levels Hoopdance Workshop with Mollie Hogan

(Hobohemian Stage: Saturday 10:45-11:40am)

Explore and expand your relationship with your hoop, and connect more deeply to your authentic dance flow!
Taught by: Mollie Hogan of Bend, Oregon – Founder of HoopDazzle and the Northwest Hoop Gathering. Mollie is known for her welcoming, positive approach, and her years of teaching allow her to guide students through fun, inspiring and well-constructed sessions.

Hoop Making workshop with Mollie Hogan

(Hookah Lounge: Saturday 1-2pm)

Craft your own hoop to play with at WTF, and then take it and your good times home with you! Mollie of Hoopdazzle will provide the materials and the know-how. You bring your crafty lil’ hands and a can-do attitude, and she’ll show you how to decorate a hoop-able masterpiece! $15 materials fee. Children must be accompanied and assisted by an adult.

 

Life is Improv! with SuperTallPaul, Ross Steeves, Rachel Gant

(Hookah Lounge: Saturday 2:30-3:30pm; Sunday 2:30-3:30pm)

Improvisation is a method and muscle, accessible and trainable by anyone willing to explore and play. This workshop will guide you through focused exercises intended to harness your intuitive abilities and express what is naturally within you. While we will be utilizing a theatrical perspective, this workshop is for everyone including the non actor/performer. Focusing your attention, being present, and locking into a group mind are some of the improv principles this workshop will address, as well as how they can be applied to your everyday life. Life is Improv!
